The American Coalition for Ocean Protection (ACOP) is a project of the Caesar Rodney Institute (CRI). CRI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, nonpartisan, public policy research organization in Delaware. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

The overall objective of the "Ocean Environment Legal Defense Fund" (Fund) and other ACOP activities is to create a permanent exclusion zone 33 miles off the entire eastern seaboard of the United States and to ensure any area offered for lease meets all the requirements of federal law. 

• All donations raised through the efforts of ACOP under the Fund are restricted to covering legal expenses, including any administrative expense such as audit, accounting, fees, filings, and the like. 

• As the Fund grows toward our target goal of $500,000, we anticipate having sufficient funds to assist ACOP members with local issues that turn into lawsuits.
